Renowned Kenyan singer and actress Sanaipei Tande has revealed that she has strict personal boundaries when it comes to acting roles.
Thank you for reading this post, don't forget to subscribe!Speaking candidly, she stated that she would not accept roles involving kissing, nudity, or LGBTQ themes, not out of negativity towards the LGBTQ community but because of her personal values and comfort level.
“I won’t kiss on the lips, that one I will not do, even if that’s what I’m required to do for my character,” she stated.
Sanaipei’s stance reflects the challenges actors face when balancing professional growth and personal values.
While some entertainers are willing to adapt to different roles for the sake of their careers, others, like Sanaipei, prefer to stay true to their principles.
She also touched on how some celebrities live a “fake lifestyle”, taking on roles or personas that don’t align with who they truly are, just to fit industry expectations.
Her remarks have sparked discussions about artistic freedom and personal limits in the entertainment industry.
Some argue that acting requires stepping out of one’s comfort zone, while others support her decision, stating that no actor should be forced into roles they are uncomfortable with.
Internationally, actors often set similar limits. Hollywood stars like Denzel Washington and Keira Knightley have publicly stated that they avoid certain intimate scenes for personal or professional reasons.
Despite setting clear boundaries, Sanaipei continues to thrive in both music and acting. Her ability to maintain authenticity while excelling in the industry proves that success doesn’t always require compromising personal values.
What do you think about her decision? Should actors have strict personal limits, or should they be fully flexible for their roles? Share your thoughts!
